Quality wine

The Agritourism Tenute Plaia produces three different types of wine: the elegant and refined Plaia, Tirsi with its intensive taste and the biologic Erabio obtained by natural method.

TIRSI GRILLO

  • Quality: White wine D.O.C. – Sicily
  • Grapes: Grillo
  • Origin: West of Sicily
  • Altitude: 350 mt. up the sea level
  • Cultivation system: Freestanding espaliers
  • Pruning method: Guyot pruning
  • Harvesting period: Between last week of August and the first decade of September
  • Production Process: Quality grapes, perfectly ripe. Short maceration at controlled temperature. Soft pressing and the fermentation at controlled temperature, 18° / 20° C. with selected yeasts.
  • Colour: Little green with some yellow lights
  • Scent: Intense, fruity reminiscent of fresh fruit
  • Taste: Dry and tasty
  • Alcohol: 12,5% Vol.

ERABIO

  • Quality: White wine D.O.C – Sicily. It is produced from grapes based on biological cultivation
  • Grapes: Grillo
  • Origin: West of Sicily
  • Altitude: 350 mt. up the sea level
  • Cultivation system: Freestanding espaliers
  • Pruning method: Guyot pruning
  • Harvesting period: Last week of August
  • Production Process: Quality grapes, perfectly ripe. Short maceration at controlled temperature. Soft pressing and the fermentation at controlled temperature, 18° / 20° C. with selected yeasts Colour: Little green with some yellow lights
  • Scent: Intense, fruity reminiscent of fresh fruit
  • Taste: Dry and tasty
  • Alcohol: 12,5% Vol

PLAIA GRILLO CHARDONNAY

  • Origin: West of Sicily
  • Altitude: 350 mt. up the sea level
  • Cultivation system: Freestanding espaliers
  • Pruning method: Guyot pruning
  • Harvesting period: the end of August and the beginning of September
  • Production Process: Quality grapes, perfectly ripe. Short maceration at controlled temperature. Soft pressing and the fermentation at controlled temperature, 18° / 20° C. with selected yeasts
  • Colour: Little green with some yellow lights
  • Scent: Intense, fruity reminiscent of fresh fruit
  • Taste: Dry and tasty
  • Alcohol: 13% Vol.
